Collaborative network on water quality and water security between three water utilities WA/SA/NT

As part of a collaborative network, Aquanex participates in roundtable discussions and workshops with Power and Water Corporation (Northern Territory), Water Corporation (Western Australia), and SA Water (South Australia). This collaborative network offers rare opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange and co-participation in research activities between three utilities on various topics and challenges associated with water quality and water security. These three utilities all have a similar operational and governance structure: government-owned corporations operating water and sewerage systems in large cities and regional and remote areas. Through this collaborative network and by leveraging the work undertaken for each utility, Aquanex has developed strategic networks and collaborative partnerships with each utility. We regularly share information, ideas, and lessons learnt to create further opportunities for collaboration.

Roundtable discussions between the World Bank Water Global Practice and Australian water organisations around Water Secure Cities and the Water in the Circular Economy

World Bank | Water Global Practice (2023)

Aquanex facilitated the planning and executing a series of roundtable discussions in Melbourne for the World Bank Water Global Practice. The 2-day workshop involved presentations and discussions between the World Bank delegation and a number of Australian water organisations, including Water Sensitives Cities Australia, Monash University, Water Services Association of Australia, Water Services Association of Australia, Melbourne Water, Barwon Water, South East Water and the Victorian government (the Victorian Water Regulator and the Department of Environment, Energy and Climate Action. The topics discussed were Water-Secure Cities, Water in the Circular Economy and Resilience, and Policies, Institutions, and Regulations. The roundtable discussions aimed to enhance collaboration and partnership between the World Bank and Australian partners and showcase Australian water initiatives. The partner organisations discussed best practice examples in water resources, water supply, and sanitation management and aimed to foster future opportunities for knowledge exchange. Our work encompassed drafting the agenda, crafting the focus areas, connecting and coordinating attendees, facilitating the workshop and roundtable discussions, managing logistics and organising the venue and catering.

Collaboration between Power and Water Corporation (NT) and Water Corporation (WA) through a collaborative meeting and onsite visits

Power and Water Corporation (2022)

Aquanex facilitated the planning and execution of a collaborative meeting and site visits between Power and Water Corporation (NT) and Water Corporation (WA) in Alice Springs. The key objective was to share knowledge, ideas, and lessons about managing Aboriginal communities. Visiting Wallace Rockhole and Hermannsburg water and wastewater assets in Aboriginal remote communities deepened collaboration and provided valuable insights into operational realities. Our work encompassed drafting the agenda, connecting and coordinating attendees, and managing logistics. The outcome was stronger relationships and a renewed commitment to addressing the unique needs of remote Australian communities.
